Xiyuan is the only station in the first phase of this line which features a mural. An earlier version of this one had to be removed from the Line 4 section when new passageways to Line 16 were constructed.
When the line opened, there was a large display of 2017 art that is no longer on display...
Lighting in the hall is unique...
while either side of the foyer area the ceiling is patterned with a fretwork design,
which is picked up on the way down to the platforms...
and reflected too on the fretwork designs above the platforms.
