LINE 14

Line 14, connects the northeast to the southwest through an “L” shaped routing.

Planned to have 37 stations over 47.3 km, it has been opening in stages – the first, in the west, in 2013, with other sections opening in 2014 (the eastern section) and 2015 (southern section). The middle section (also known as the Lize section) opened two years late on December 31, 2021. Its main station - Lize Shangwuqu - is a planned interchange for lines 14, 16 and Daxing Airport Express.

Line 14 uses DKZ53 and SFM18 trains. They are the first high-capacity wide-body A-Type trains in the Beijing Subway.

The China Central Academy of Fine Arts was asked to come up with designs for some of the stations after the first phase had been completed; and this explains why the first phase in the main only features special lighting, or specially designed windows such as at Garden Expo Park station, that dominate the platforms.
