Dawanglu’s ‘Nine to Five’ mural, by Guo Liming, a teacher of the School of Architecture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, divides everyday life into different periods of the day and is designed simply to stop people rushing by and to slow down a little to enjoy the design.
The initial positioning of " Nine to Five" was in one of the station's transfer passages. But Dawanglu probably has one of the highest values for advertising on the entire subway network; and after due evaluation, lasting two or three months of discussion, the location of the mural was adjusted to the current central wall of the station hall, vacating the transfer channel.
