Fangshan Line – Changyang (长阳)

Changyang Town, with its over-50,000 inhabitants, lies close to the boundaries of Fengtai and Daxing Districts. This station is the only station on the Fangshan Line that is integrated with surrounding buildings.

Changyang was originally named Guangyangjun and used to be important to the Imperial Family, as it was on the route used by the Emperor whenever he left Beijing, heading south.

The small buildings at either end of the open-air platform are decorated with relief murals in marble and granite, featuring trees and shrubbery, together with a new-urban landscape.

The outside of the lift shaft from the platform is also decorated with snazzy orange-and-red curved lines in a modern design.
