‘Chinese Olympic Dream’ by Wu Dingyu and Cui Donghui is a mosaic and steel mural measuring 3.9m by 50m.
The artists adopted abstract silhouettes to create an impression of action symbols.
The background of red and yellow – the national colours of China – is apparently meant to instil a strong sense of national pride and togetherness.
Whether or not you like the silhouettes, these overhead lights remind passengers of the 2008 Olympic mascots and are guaranteed to bring a smile to everyone’s faces.
