LINE 5 – Huixinxijiebeikou (惠新西街北口)

These four murals, created in 2007, that can be found on the walls of the two platforms refer to famous ancient Chinese articles, such as the "Thousand-Character Wen", "Hundred Family Names", "Three Character Classics" and "Disciple Guidance" – used to teach morals and a code of good conduct; and other symbols of Chinese culture and a Thousand Words Text which uses 1,000 Chinese characters which are used for teaching children to read basic Chinese.

These text-murals came about as the station is the nearest to the YanHuang art museum.

There used to be a temple nearby (Hui Zhong An), from which the village was named HuiXin (Xin means new), which is why the station got its name.
