LINE 4 & Daxing Line – Xisi (西四)

Xisi literally, the ‘Western Four’ or the ‘Western Quadrangle’, is the name of an intersection which is named after four paifangs or Chinese ornamental gates, which were removed in 1958.

The theme of the decoration, by Ma Xiao Teng, is ‘Old Dream in Beijing’, picturing old signs, transportation with camels and horses, as well as the four paifangs.
