LINE 8 – Muxi Yuan (木樨园)

Muxiyuan in ancient times was known as Alfalfa Garden due to its flourishing alfalfa business supplying court horses. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, most of these alfalfa fields disappeared and formed settlements, initially called "alfalfa fields" or "alfalfa gardens", and later corrupted into "muxidi" or "muxiyuan".

The mural here depicts an interesting visual and spatial experience through the abstraction of the main creative elements of the grass and other plants, together with a change in perspective and proportions between people and plants.
