Panjiayuan is famous for its open-air flea market as well as its so-called Beijing Antique City. Both are good places to look for traditional Chinese knick knacks, handicrafts and, who knows, maybe even some antiques!
On the west side of the station hall is a mural entitled "Le Tao Beijing", created by Chen Jianhong and Xi Xiaojin.The metallic figures on a stone background get into the mood by showing off their wares to passing bargain hunters.
Strange, though, that the station managers should think it appropriate to cover the mural with slogans urging you not to move fire extinguishers as they could be useful in an emergency!
You also have to admire these striking platform support columns, which are probably the best to be found on the entire circuit of Line 10.
