Dongxiayuan has a lovely mural of flying kites (called ‘Spring Breeze’ by Tang Xiaohe and Wang Changxing). The lake blue colour symbolizes Haihe River.
However, it appears obvious that the people working in this station care little for it as the majority of times I have passed through, the mural is all but obliterated with security posters propped against the wall for want of anywhere better to put them, I suspect.
