Rui Bin law and He Wei have crafted the "Eight Great SIghts of Yanjing" in mosaic art which now embellishes the station hall of Yangzhuang Station. They hark back to the "Swallows" which in 1751 were eight scenic spots, specifically Taiye Autumn Wind, Qiongdao Chunyin, Jintai Sunset, Jimen Tobacco Tree, Xishan Qingxue, Yuquan Baotu, Lugou Xiaoyue, and Juyong Diecui. These were all carved with stone monuments and had prefaces and poems.
The work focuses on the beauty of the ancient capital Beijing in winter , the magnificence of the Great Wall, the beauty of Beihai, the sacredness of the Temple of Heaven, and so on. These are the only works in the entire Beijing subway which show off Beijing in winter time.
