Lucheng is the eastern terminus station of Line 6 and connects to Dongxiaoying rail yard. It is located 28 kilometres east of Tiananmen Square and about 5.2 km west of the border with Hebei.
The mural in the station foyer, created by Song Changqing, represents a map of the subway network, complete with many famous buildings. It is called "Linking the Ancient to the Present", but already with the opening of new lines since Lucheng was constructed the map is looking distinctly out of date.
This doesn’t stop it, however, from being a most attractive wall decoration.
